About This Item

The Blue Hubbard squash is a large, winter squash variety characterized by its distinctive, tough, blue-gray to blue-green rind. Inside, the squash reveals a bright orange to golden-yellow flesh that is fine-grained, dense, and possesses a sweet, nutty flavor. These squashes can grow quite large, frequently weighing between 15 to 40 pounds, and keep well. The flesh is well-suited for a baking, roasting, and puréeing for pies and soups.
